Peter Letendre is a licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Master’s Level Certified Addiction Professional (MCAP) with over 25 years of experience in the field. Peter graduated with High Honors from Rhode Island College in both his Master’s Degree Program in Mental Health Counseling and Advanced Graduate Degree Program. He began his career working in prevention programs with at-risk youth in 1988 and has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings throughout his career. Peter has also designed and implemented successful treatment programs nationally and has held significant leadership positions including Chief Executive Officer of Clinical Services of Rhode Island and Chief Executive Officer for American Addiction Centers, RI Operations. Throughout his career, he has maintained a thriving private psychotherapy practice since 2006. He relocated to Florida from Rhode Island in 2018 to enjoy the warmer climate.
Peter enjoys working with adolescents and adults with a wide range of clinical concerns, including mental health and addiction issues. Peter provides Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing for individuals, groups, families, and couples.
Hunter Marshall, Counselor LMHC
Hunter Marshall is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida. Previously, he was licensed and practiced in North Carolina. After a successful career in the family printing business, he obtained his Masters of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He and his wife moved to Marco Island full-time in 2019.
Hunter works with adolescents, adults and couples, who are seeking assistance in coping with a variety of issues, including depression, addictions, grief, and life transitions. He listens intently to understand the concern and build trust with his clients in order to co-create a plan of action. His focus is based on his training in Person Centered Therapy. Hunter has experience with Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.
As a life long golfer, Hunter appreciates the sun filled location of SWFL. He enjoys bike riding, playing one of his many guitars and discovering the local natural gems.
Michael Nicholson, Counselor MS
Michael has many years of experience working with people who are struggling with mental health and addiction issues. He creates a trusting relationship with each client by establishing a safe, nurturing environment that allows individuals to comfortably process their thoughts and feelings.
Mr. Nicholson utilizes a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Person Centered Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In addition to individual sessions, Michael runs a weekly Men’s Recovery Group which provides Addiction Support.
Robert Eder, Expressive Art Instructor MA
Rob earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting and Drawing from Indiana University (Bloomington) and a Master of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies/Interdisciplinary Education from SUNY Empire State, NYC. He is a professional scenic artist whose accomplishments include ceiling murals at the EPCOT Center, the background scenery for more than 30 operas, and the props and backgrounds for numerous television commercials. Although Rob’s background is in Drawing and Painting, the majority of his recent artwork has been created using Digital Photography and Collage.
As an educator for the past 25 years, Mr. Eder has extensive experience in using art to help students express their feelings and emotions. Rob facilitates Expressive Art Therapy groups for our Intensive Outpatient Program.
